Description: Our Client, an industrial building materials company, is looking to hire an Industrial Mechanic in Summerville, SC.

Responsibilities:

• Implement strategic vision for maintenance and reliability to correct, coordinate, and support plant maintenance functions;
• Support plans to reduce breakdowns, improve planned maintenance, optimize scheduled maintenance, and effectively execute down-day events;
• Maintain the facility in a safe manner and to a standard level of equipment availability;
• Participate in the wash up day planning, half-time, and follow-up meetings;
• Incorporate plant delay items into weekly wash ups;
• Maintain close contact with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure maintenance activities occur with minimal disruption to production operations;
• Recommend improvement in maintenance and operational procedures;
• Capture and record necessary equipment and material history;
• Work with storeroom personnel to order replacement parts.

Requirements:

• Experience with maintenance in a continuous operating (24/7) manufacturing environment (3+ years);
• Experience with electrical and mechanical technology;
• Experience with CMMS;
• Experience with root cause and fault tree analysis techniques;
• High School diploma or equivalent.
