Description: Our Client, one of the largest pulp and paper companies in the world, is looking to hire an Electrical Reliability Engineer in Newport, IN.


• Eliminate failures that restrict or stop production;
• Support the enterprise effort to reduce year-over-year constrained area downtime by 15%;
• Increase the life of mill’s assets using cost effective solutions;
• Serve as the mill EPD Champion and Motor Champion;
• Work with the area Operations and Maintenance staff to implement effective strategic maintenance initiatives that support achievement of reliability goals, objectives, key performance metrics, maintenance cost objectives,and capital projects execution;
• Provide systemic interventions to improve the overall reliability of all equipment, not just a gradual improvement one piece of equipment at a time;
• Perform root cause failure analysis on reliability incidents to identify and correct physical, human, and latent root causes especially for chronic reliability problems;
• Implement best practices using teams, databases, vendors, and other technical resources;
• Identify and implement capital solutions for reliability opportunities;
• Work within manufacturing work systems (MWS) process to analyze work notifications to ensure the right jobs are worked at the right time and assist with the planning of complex work orders to achieve reliability targets;
• Provide backup and relief for Electrical Maintenance Front Line Leader;
• Develop and maintain asset criticalities, equipment care strategies, and maintenance policies for all equipment with emphasis on critical equipment;
• Fulfill weekend duty team role for Maintenance.


• Experience working as a Reliability Engineer in a manufacturing environment (3+ years);
• Experience with reliability improvement methods, technologies, and tools;
• Experience leading or implementing reliability improvements in an industrial manufacturing environment;
• Experience working with predictive maintenance tools;
• Experience and knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling practices;
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent professional work experience(required).
