Description: Our Client, a government agency, is looking to hire a Senior Solaris System Administrator in Palm Beach, FL.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain / upgrade existing systems and design / deploy new technologies while adhering to best practices and business level objectives;
• Work in a high pressure, demanding, 24/7 environment;
• Daily administration, documentation, & operation of physical and virtual server infrastructure environments;
• Assist in integration and documentation of new applications and technologies;
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with new technologies as needed;
• 24/7 Rotational On-Call Support.

Requirements:

• Experience with Oracle / SUN Solaris SPARC Platforms T4 series;
• Experience with Firewall and standard security lock down practices;
• Experience managing SAN and storage pools allocated to systems;
• Experience with ZFS configuration and maintenance;
• Experience with scripting languages: bourne shell, korn shell, C shell;
• Experience with Solaris 10 and 11 operating systems;
• Experience with EBS R12 support and maintenance;
• Experience with development and execution of scripts to automate IT tasks and processes;
• Experience with Redhat unix administration 6.0 to 7.0;
• Experience with Enterprise System Monitoring, Log Management and Event Analysis – Solar winds Orion (preferred);
• Experience with Dell Server Technologies including Blades / Chassis (preferred);
• Experience with Multi-Site Data Center Operations (preferred);
• Experience with basic networking (VLANs, subnetting, high availability NIC configuration) (preferred);
• Experience with application level hardware load balancers (preferred);
• Experience with Netback up (preferred).
