Description: Our Client, one of the leading metals engineering and manufacturing companies, is looking to hire a Technical and Quality Assurance Manager in Massena, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and executing overall policy, strategy in extruded rod and bar products quality risk mitigations to ensure compliance with customer specifications and government regulations, continuous improvement in total customer satisfaction and manufacturing cost reduction;
• Manage all Quality functions for Quality Assurance Systems, Product Configuration, Process / Product Inspection, Test Lab Certification, Calibrations, and Manufacturing Operations, to include process engineering and growth/applications initiatives;
• Manage system accreditation processes;
• Work with New Product Development and Innovation (NPD&I) production to determine quality requirements for new and existing products;
• Establish manufacturing plans and procedures to meet customer and internal requirements;
• Develop and lead team of highly motivated quality professionals to drive industry best in class;
• Improve process control through the application of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) methodologies.

Requirements:

• Experience in quality management (5+ years);
• Experience in metallurgical practices in thermal-mechanical processing and heat treatment / pyrometry, material laboratory testing, nondestructive testing, statistical process control, FMEA’s, Control Plans, PPAP’s, system and special process audits etc;
• Knowledge of related software and applications such as Minitab, ARTS, IS Menu, and Oracle;
• Knowledge of the Fabricating and Extrusion facilities, processes, materials, and people with demonstrated knowledge of cold finish and extrusion operations (preferred);
• Professional certification in one or more of the following disciplines: ASQ CQE, CSSBB, CQM(preferred);
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution.
