Description: Our Client, one of the major timberland owners and a manufacturer of wood products, is hiring a Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical) in Zwolle, LA.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of electricians to meet departmental and unit goals in equipment and building safety, quality and maintenance;
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance methods and systems to reduce unscheduled downtime and utilize reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure production volume, quality and overall uptime goals are met;
• Plan, develop, manage and provide effective leadership for the maintenance team;
• Ensure the safety of all associates by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns;
• Actively supervise and develop the electrical maintenance team to ensure effective communication across & between shifts and with the production teams;
• Utilize preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime;
• Efficient use of reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume and quality goals are met;
• Effective use of training resources to maximize team technical skills;
• Use computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resources.

Requirements:

• Experience in a supervisory role in an industrial environment (3+ years);
• Ability to lead a team to a high level of safety performance;
• Experience leading and ensuring compliance with safety initiatives (2+ years);
• Experience in the areas of electrical, mechanical and PLC programming (2+ years);
• Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance systems;
• Ability to read and understand electrical, loop, drives system schematics;
• Ability to identify root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence;
• Maintenance experience with a focus on predictive and preventative systems (preferred);
• Electric / electronic / mechanical troubleshooting experience (preferred);
• Experience with electrical systems such as medium and high-voltage power distribution and programmable logic controllers (preferred);
• Manufacturing plant experience (preferred);
• Must be able to accept and respond to afterhours calls;
• Must be willing to work a weekend adjusted schedule;
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering / Process discipline, preferably Electrical Engineering.
