Description: Our Client, a manufacturer of agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, is looking to hire a Senior Developer in Moline, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Work on Java, Scala, Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies and Big Data concepts;
• Establish guidelines such as coding standards, workflow, or tool standards;
• Perform hands-on code development and delivery and ensure that coding standards, patterns and approaches are appropriate, consistent and of high quality;
• Be an expert within the team on tools and technology in use;
• Provide guidance to other team members for designing solutions and coding practices within the team;
• Work with junior and peer members of the team by pairing, coaching and review;
• Assist the development team in breaking out technical tasks from business requirements;
• Lead new technology adoption for betterment of product reliability;
• Provide input into the product development strategy and roadmaps as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience designing and developing web applications using Java / J2EE or Scala (4+ years);
• Experience with Spring or Play frameworks, HTML5 and JavaScript;
• Experience developing in RESTful web services;
• Experience writing unit and integration test;
• Experience building automation / deployment jobs using Jenkins or other similar CI/automation tools;
• Experience building large scale applications using Scala, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Node.js (preferred);
• Experience with Agile processes and Extreme Programming (XP) practices (such as: Test Driven Development, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery) (preferred);
• Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant discipline other relevant discipline.
