Onsite: On location at the Client’s site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.

Description: Our Client, a wholesale electricity supplier and the world leader in generating renewable energy, is hiring an IT Systems Administrator in Juno Beach, FL.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and maintain computing infrastructure, operating systems and/or middleware products on all computer platforms including mainframes, workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of 24x7 business processes;
• Evaluate, implement and modify operating system software parameters and/or product solutions for optimum performance;
• Identify integration and other interface requirements for all supported products and platforms;
• Meet with the real-time traders daily to discuss issues and concerns;
• Interface with personnel at ISO and other third party off takers to coordinate design and implement new software interfaces;
• Discuss development and enhancement progress of any applications or systems currently underway with stakeholders;
• Review logs and system activity to ensure proper operations of all real-time trading systems;
• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, Q/A and implementing new software modules to meet user requests.

Requirements:

• Experience with SCADA telemetry and operations (2-5 years);
• Experience with plant SCADA configuration and communications (2-5 years);
• Experience with shell scripting and programming concepts (2-5 years);
• Experience with networking and telecommunication concepts (2-5 years);
• Experience with Operating systems (Unix (Redhat & AIX), Windows) (2-5 years);
• Experience with Wonderware and OSI or equivalent applications (2-5 years, preferred);
• Experience with ICCP, MODBUS and DDE communications (2-5 years, preferred);
• Concepts of mathematics and bit level operations (2-5 years);
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management and external ISO entities;
• Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements;
• Ability to work extended hours;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer / Electrical Engineering required.
