Description: Our Client, a government agency, is looking to hire a Business Analyst in Tallahassee, FL.


• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis;
• Responsible for critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs;
• Responsible for Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), iii. Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs);
• Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously;
• Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers will serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow;
• Responsible for developing requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language;
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs;
• Responsible for developing training materials in document and video formats for existing and new IT systems and applications, following the standards set by the Client;
• Assist with the review and maintenance of training standards.


• Experience working as a Business Analyst (5+ years);
• Experience producing technical documentation related to requirements, specifications, design, process and data flow, testing, and training (5+ years);
• Experience with data consolidation, editing, and normalizing rules (5+ years);
• Experience scheduling technical integrations involving multiple resource teams;
• Experience organizing and facilitating training and/or technical presentations;
• Experience facilitating business and technical analysis, design, and planning meetings;
• Knowledge of State of Florida rules and regulations;
• Experience with Microsoft Project;
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint;
• Technical knowledge of web, network infrastructure, network communication, and security (preferred).
