Description: Our Client, a manufacturer of integrated systems that collect, process and distribute information, is looking to hire a Material Estimator in Vancouver, WA or Bingen, WA.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare material cost estimates for high visibility / risk or technically complex proposal efforts;
• Develop consolidated bills of material and compile supporting data;
• Collect data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors;
• Research and validate purchase order historical data;
• Develop and analyze material factors / decrement to include material usage allowance, yield or scrap;
• Develop cost estimating relationships;
• Develop and implement process improvements;
• Support all audits, fact-finding, current price updates, negotiations, sweeps and certifications;
• Routinely interface with internal stakeholders including Contracts, Program Management, Business Development, Proposal Development Center, Pricing & Estimating;
• Interface with other organizations in representation of MP&C.

Requirements:

• Experience with FAR 15 (5+ years);
• Experience with estimating in a government contract environment (7+ years);
• Experience with MS Excel (vlookups & pivot tables at minimum);
• Experience with MS PowerPoint;
• Experience with ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint, SAP etc);
• Experience with accounting systems and processes and their effect on estimates and proposals;
• Experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources;
• Experience communicating with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables;
• Experience with accounting disclosure statements, Truth in Negotiation Act (TINA), applicable FAR and agency supplements that influences the development and negotiation of the estimate and price;
• ICEAA or NCMA membership (preferred);
• Bachelor's degree (10-14 years) or Master's degree (8-12 years).
