Description: Our Client, a global leader in the metals recycling industry, is looking for a General Manager (Metals Recycling Industry) in Everett, MA.


• Be responsible for overall H&S (Health & Safety) issues within facility by working closely with the Regional Safety Engineer(s);
• Ensure Environmental compliance in accordance with company, federal and state policies by working closely with the Regional Environmental Manager;
• Participate in the execution of Scrap Materials Procurement program as defined by the Regional Commercial Group and facility Commercial Operations team;
• Work closely with Departmental Managers and Regional Financial Business Partner(s) in regard to internal budgeting and forecasting;
• Clarify, validate, analyze and test for accuracy in all assigned areas;
• Monitor and maintain yard inventories (ferrous and nonferrous) for accuracy;
• Be responsible for overall facility security, including the oversight of outside security contractors;
• Direct management in the supervision and performance evaluation of personnel and their activities within the facility;
• Perform other special projects which may require project management experience or specialized knowledge.


• Operations management experience (7+ years);
• Metals Recycling 'scrap' industry experience (required);
• Bachelor’s degree.
