Description: Our Client, one of the leading metals engineering and manufacturing companies, is looking to hire a Senior Human Resources Generalist in LaPorte, IN.


• Partner with the HR Manager and leadership team in translating business strategy into HR action that drives business results;
• Develop and implement tactics to execute HR strategies that achieve the overall business goals;
• Build and enhance an environment in which employees are actively and willingly engaged in helping improve the business;
• Provide strategic staffing, salaried recruitment, training and development;
• Provide performance management, individual development plans, coaching and counseling;
• Lead HR compliance activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policy, including Affirmative Action Planning and internal audit requirements;
• Reach all levels of the organization, including presentations at plant meeting, HR posting, bulletin boards, etc;
• Assist in handling employee relations and conflict resolution;
• Conduct employee investigations.


• Experience as an HR Generalist (5+ years);
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred);
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office;
• Experience in staffing and recruiting;
• Knowledge of HR and hands-on expertise with demonstrated results in HR functions and processes;
• Bachelor's degree.
