Description: Our Client, one of the global leaders in packaging and paper manufacturing, is looking to hire a Recycling Sales Representative in Carrollton, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and secure profitable recyclable material supply for the plant. Emphasis on new business development;
• Understand plant costs and apply that knowledge through the use of account profitability analysis tools;
• Understand the plant's capabilities and sources material accordingly, using professional selling skills to acquire new business;
• Develop and execute an effective prospecting and material procurement plan;
• Monitor recycling market pricing and adjust existing supplier pricing as needed to maintain satisfactory margin;
• Act as a liaison between the supplier and the plant to ensure timely, accurate information flow between the two in order to maintain a positive long term relationship;
• Develop a clear understanding of supplier's business and critical requirements;
• Handle supplier complaints promptly and effectively;
• Practice effective time and territory management;
• Function effectively as a member of the plant material sourcing team;
• Interface effectively with other departments and maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Experience in direct outside recyclable material sourcing (2+ years);
• Experience in sourcing / material procurement (fiber, corrugated, paper);
• Experience with commercial sales;
• Experience with new business development;
• Experience with cold calling & prospecting;
• Experience in the recycling industry;
• Experience recognizing changes in market conditions and adapting marketing strategies accordingly;
• Experience working with a variety of personalities from diverse backgrounds;
• Experience managing gross margin and account profitabilities in relation to a facility’s P&L;
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel computer applications;
• High School Diploma or the equivalence;
• Experience with the area and local market structure (preferred);
• Bachelor degree in business with emphasis in marketing or business administration (preferred).
